The Byting Bulldogs’ Fifteenth Year

This year we have 45 kids, and we are competing in two districts and one regional this year. We can’t wait for a fantastic season and many victories with our future alliance members.
The Robot, “Miley”

Miley Experiencing “The climb” at pittsburgh
The robot this year was named Miley after its wrecking ball figure. “We Can’t Stop” designing our robots with swerve-drive, meaning that all four wheels are powered, but also can rotate 360 degrees giving her super-fast speed and agility.
We came up with “7 Things” to justify our designs which includes an elevator and a funnel system to help us score Coral quickly! We hope to “Party in the USA” with you this year but don’t worry about getting us “Flowers” as we can buy our own!

The Game
Reefscape is played by two competing alliances of 3 teams with each controlling robots to score algae and coral for points. Each game is split into 3 sections, the first is called Autonomous (AUTO) where robots can LEAVE and score ALGAE and CORAL to achieve a ranking point in the first 15 seconds. The next section is known as the Teleoperated Period (TELEOP) where teams now remotely control their robots to try and score game pieces for the remaining 2 minutes and 15 seconds. Teams have to score CORAL on the REEF and ALGAE in the NET. The NET sits above everything else. Also, ALGAE can be scored in a PROCESSER where the opposing side tries to throw the ALGAE in the NET. In End Game, robots can lift themselves onto a high/low cage to gain more points.
